How long does permanent color last?
IGK Permanent Color Kit results can remain vibrant for about 4 weeks or up to 6 weeks with More Life Color-Extending Shampoo & Conditioner. Although it will fade, permanent color will not go away completely.
Will the color kit cover my grays?
Yes. IGK Color is permanent and can help cover gray hair. Depending on how resistant your hair is, you may need more time to process. Be sure to read the directions provided on how long you should leave the color on gray hair for maximum coverage.
Will the permanent color kit lighten my hair?
Color kits feature an oxidizer that removes some of the hair’s natural pigment. It typically only lightens hair about two steps and is not a reliable source for dramatically lifting color. However, it will change your hair color permanently.
How many boxes should I use for long hair?
For best results, you should get 2 boxes for medium length to long hair, especially if it is thick. This ensures that each strand is fully saturated. If you have long hair, but only plan to touch up your roots, then one box should suffice.
Can I use this on previously colored or chemically treated hair?
Yes! However, previous color services or chemical treatments may impact color results. As a rule, it’s always best to wait 2 weeks between treatments to ensure zero impact on hair health and flawless color results.
