Winter is coming. In honor of the final season of Game Of Thrones, Nine Zero One Stylist Jill Buck created three worship-worthy braided hairstyles featuring iconic half-up buns, twists and curls.

Plot Twist

Step 1: Prep the hair with IGK Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner to add hydration, reduce frizz and protect the hair while heat styling.   

Step 2: Mist  IGK Next Level Nordic Cotton Heat Activated Volume Spray at the roots for added volume

Step 3: Blow dry hair 75% dry, then finish with a large round brush for smoothing.

Step 4: Section from temple to temple and to the high point of the head. Take 1/2 inch sub-sections from within that parting and create two mini French braids.

Step 5: Add IGK Down & Out Dirty Spray in the hair that remains from the sectioning and secure with a rubber band.

Step 6: Find a fun accessory that is able to be woven into the braids such as lace, and crisscross 3 times. Secure the end with a Bobby pin.

Step 7: Gently pull hair forward in between each crisscross in order to create volume with in the section.

Step 8: Cross the mini French braids over rubber band and secure with two Bobby pins.

Step 9: Wand curl the remaining hair, moving away from the face. Spray with IGK Beach Club Volumizing Texture Spray and brush curls with a boar bristle brush.

Mother of Dragons

Step 1: Prep the hair with IGK Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner to add hydration, reduce frizz and protect the hair while heat styling.   

Step 2: Mist IGK Next Level Nordic Cotton Heat Activated Volume Spray at the roots for added volume

Step 3: Blow dry hair 75% dry, then finish with a large round brush for smoothing.

Step 4: Section hair in half horizontally around the center of the head. Spray IGK Down & Out Dirty Spray all through the top half.

Step 5: Using a small 1/2 inch brush, smooth hair into a tight half-up section. Finish with a rubber band. You can add mini braids into the sections as well.

Step 6: Braid 3 sections with 2 inches of hair in each. Secure with rubber bands. One braid at a time, place one straight up from ponytail, another to the right and another to the left as if creating a T shape. Secure with Bobby pins.

Step 7: Wand curl the remaining hair in small sections. Curl away from the face. Spray with IGK Beach Club Volumizing Texture Spray and brush to finish.

Queen of the North



Step 1: Prep the hair with IGK Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner to add hydration, reduce frizz and protect the hair while heat styling.   

Step 2: Diffuse hair about 75% dry, then add IGK Down & Out Dirty Spray before diffusing all the way dry.

Step 3: From the center of the head, take a 2 inch section straight back. This is the starting point of your knotted rope braid. Taking a section from the right side of the head, smooth it straight back and create a loop over the original first section. Pull the hair through the loop, tighten and pin. That creates your first “knot”. Repeat on the left, and back to the right until half of the hair is pulled up. Secure with a rubber band.

Step 4: Use a 1 inch iron in order to create an S Wave pattern throughout the hair on a few strands, leaving the diffused pieces throughout.

Step 5: Finish with IGK Beach Club Volumizing Texture Spray and separate curls with hands.
